TRAINING                                 

Dr.  Petersen received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison before attending the University of Illinois  at Chicago for medical school.  She completed a residency in Family Medicine at St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  In 1997 she started her solo practice in Tucson, Arizona.

PRACTICE STYLE   

Dr. Petersen cares for patients from five years of age and older.  Her sincere interest in the health of each of her patients is reflected in her caring style.  Office hours are limited to half days so that she can care for her own young children in the afternoon.  Despite the shortened office hours, patients with urgent medical issues are seen promptly, usually on the same day of the phone call, if the office is contacted in the early part of office hours.  Dr. Petersen strives to provide thorough care to promote long-term good health and well-being.
